Yamaha Classband
Yamaha Class Band
In a Class Band students learn to play a different wind instrument simultaneously from the beginning. Every lesson the students will play together in an orchestra and will be able to participate in the world of music. During this learning process the students will become musicians who can participate in the cultural life. Music will be an essential part of their life.
A Class Band is possible in every sort of situation, depending on the organization and structure of the school/music association or other organization. We will be happy to help you with your personal concept and plans.
What is the methodology of Class Band
Yamaha Classband, a unique way of music education in a group. From the very first lesson the students will play and learn together in the group. They will play on different wind instruments as in a symphonic windband setting.
The main goal of Classband is: Learn together, play together.
The flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, bariton/ euphonium (and possible percussion) are the instruments used in a Classband. The students make their own choice and start their musical journey together. The Yamaha Classband Team is taking care of seminars, coaching and training of the teachers. A Yamaha Class Band teacher will be a part of a European network in which we share our knowledge and ideas.

NO BARRIER | COLLABORATIVE LEARNING | MOTIVATION | SOCIAL SKILLS DEVELOPMENT | SUPPORT FOR TEACHERS AND PARENTS |
There is no need for any musical knowledge. Everyone can join. | Learning in a group setting is beneficial for the motivation and engagement. The students learn not only from the instructor but also from each other. This is creating a dynamic and interactive learning environment. | By playing in a group the individuals are inspired to practice more and therefor improve, not just for themselves, but also for the group. This can lead to a more dedicated and enthusiastic approach to learning how to play an instrument. | Participating in a band requires teamwork, communication determination and cooperation These are also valuable life skills. This aspect of the program goes beyond just musical education. | Yamaha's program offers a framework that makes it easier for teachers to instruct and for parents to support their children's musical journey. |
