Reuben

Biography

Reuben

Singer/guitarist Jamie and bassist Jon met when they were 13 and have been in bands together ever since. When Guy joined Reuben on drums they began the enthusiastic touring that helped to build their fiercely loyal fanbase, all triggered by the limited edition releases “Pilot” and “Scared Of The Police” which are now highly sought after.

After a succession of great independent singles they put out the brilliant albums “Racecar Is Racecar Backwards” and “Very Fast Very Dangerous” on Xtra Mile Recordings to considerable acclaim, albums which have sold well over 20,000 copies in the UK alone. In 2007 they set up their own label, Hideous Records, releasing a documentary dvd with a bonus live gig, the single “Blood, Bunny, Larkhall” and the album “In Nothing We Trust”, all within the first six months of the year. Early reviews of the album are spectacularly good and the band look poised to make another massive leap forward.

Reuben are one of the best loved bands in the UK and their incendiary live shows have become legendary during headline tours and jaunts with Biffy Clyro, Hundred Reasons, Fightstar and Billy Talent, as well as a slot on Kerrang!’s ‘Day Of Rock’, and various festivals. This year the band headline stages at Guilfest and Hyde Park, in addition to gracing the main stage at Donnington’s Download Festival.
